Tawanda L. Lewis

Tawanda L. Lewis, director of major gifts for Norton Healthcare Foundation, has been with Norton Healthcare since 2005. In her role, she is responsible for implementing a strategic major gifts development program to support the needs of Norton Healthcare hospitals, including Norton Suburban Hospital, Norton Audubon Hospital, Norton Hospital, and Norton Brownsboro Hospital, scheduled to open in 2009. Lewis provides leadership for all solicitation efforts to generate support for cancer care, heart care, women’s care, and prevention and education.

In 2007 Lewis, was recognized in Business First as one of Louisville “Top 40 under 40”, which recognizes individuals in the community under the age of 40 that are affecting the community. She also received the professional achievement award from the Louisville Defender Newspaper in 2007. Lewis, is also a board member of the Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce and the Transit Authority of River City (TARC). Immediate-Past President of the Louisville Urban League Young Professionals.

A native of Lexington, Lewis holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Louisville, College of Business, and is currently pursing a Master’s Degree in Business Communications from Spalding University.
